First and foremost, I want to clarify that this article is based solely on my personal experience. It's a common observation that during pregnancy, most women notice a remarkable surge in hair growth and increased density. This phenomenon is attributed to hormones, particularly estrogen, which slows down daily hair shedding...
Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience this phenomenon, and honestly, I saw no difference before and during pregnancy. My hair continued its usual course, no extra thickness, no exceptional growth... I'm disappointed! And this was the case for all 3 of my pregnancies! Without having experienced these hormonal changes, the dramatic movie about massive post-partum hair loss plays in my head.
No significant loss to report after my first two deliveries, but as they say, every pregnancy is different! So, whether it's shedding or not, I prefer to take precautions to limit damage.
In the middle of last year, more than 9 months ago, I cut a good portion of my hair, almost 10 cm, because I had neglected it a bit. So, during my pregnancy, the idea of a hair challenge crossed my mind, but I told myself I would wait until after delivery to start.
Now that my little one is born, I'm embarking on the famous hair challenge by regularly taking a photo of my hair after each treatment, describing the steps and products I'll be using.
The challenge will last until the end of 2018, and we will check in on the growth every 3 months.
If you want to do the challenge with me, feel free to share your experience! We'll support each other! :)
See you very soon!
